Dr. Andrea Doran was born and raised in Carson City, where she lives and works today as a Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in Nevada. Educated at the University of Nevada Reno, Dr. Doran earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, then a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, and later her doctorate in Counseling and Educational Psychology. While pursuing her graduate degrees, Dr. Doran was the director of the Western Nevada Child Development center, retiring after 20 years of service to work as a MFT. Her primary areas of focus are play/activity therapy with children and filial therapy work with parents, but she enjoys all facets of her mental health practice.
Carla Farnworth
MSN, APRN-BC (FNP-BC, ACNP-BC, PMHNP-BC)
Carla earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Orvis School of Nursing, University of Nevada Reno, in 1995. She worked mostly critical care until returning to school and completing dual certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) and acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) as well as a master’s degree in nursing from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2006. As an FNP and ACNP, Carla worked in hospital medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine, and Family Practice. In 2020, she completed a post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP). She is board certified in all three disciplines. Carla has been married for 25 years and has 2 adult children. She also belongs to four dogs, three of which are French bulldogs, and one of whom is Ollie Pipin (O.P.), a registered therapy dog who comes to work with her on occasion. Carla is passionate about health and wellness, both physically and mentally, and believes psychiatric health is equally, if not more, important than physical health. When we take care of our mental health… physical health will naturally follow.

Bodie Coates is a Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has lived in Carson City for 30 years, attending Douglas High School. At 16, Bodie graduated early and attended Western Nevada College, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno. He went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology while working as a substance abuse rehab counselor in Reno. He successfully advocated for the UNR Counseling program when it was threatened by budget cuts and graduated in 2011. His passion is working with people in existential crisis using mindfulness and an emotionally focused treatment approach. Many of Bodie’s clients are professionals and healthcare workers seeking help with anxiety, depression, or substance abuse.

Melannie White is a Clinical Professional Counselor. Educated at Southern New Hampshire University, Melannie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is currently working with clients in Carson City and enjoys working with individuals and families focusing on anxiety and trauma. Her preferred treatment approaches include mindfulness based practices and trauma-informed care to guide individuals on their journey toward healing and growth.

Kim Crandell is a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University from Liberty University. He works with all ages dealing with depression, anxiety, and challenges of daily living. Kim has lived in Nevada since 1990 and retired in 2021 from a career in hospital administration. He has worked in healthcare management for 32 years with 15 years as a hospital CEO. Most recently, Kim served as the CEO of Sierra Surgery Hospital and then as the Director of Business Development for Carson Tahoe Health. Kim received his Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Health Administration from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Business Administration in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management. Kim is married and has three children and five grandchildren. Kim loves to travel, snow ski, wake surf, bike, hike and work out.

Bay-Lee Power is a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern. Educated in Boston, Massachusetts, Bay-Lee earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Northeastern University and later went on to earn her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. In between, she served two years in AmeriCorps at City Year Boston and worked in the nonprofit sector, supporting children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and the collegiate student-athletes who served as their social-emotional support systems. She is currently working in person and via Telehealth in Carson City with individuals of all ages to address trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety, as well as develop mindfulness, emotional resilience, and the interpersonal skills necessary to foster healthy relationships with others.

Laurren Quinones is a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern who earned a master’s degree in Military and Emergency Responder Psychology from Colorado State University. As a former wildland firefighter, Laurren understands firsthand the unique challenges faced by those on the front lines, as well as the experience of bereavement and mourning, grounding her approach in both lived experience and clinical expertise. She specializes in working with first responders, military personnel, and veterans, as well as individuals navigating trauma, grief, and loss. Whether someone is dealing with burnout, critical incident stress, or the weight of bereavement, Laurren’s goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space to support processing, healing, and finding a way forward.

Sherry Brennan is a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling Practicum/Intern student at the University of Phoenix. She also holds a Master of Arts in Management and Organizational Development from Webster University and brings more than 20 years of experience in management, team building, coaching, conflict resolution, and organizational development. Dedicated to community impact, Sherry also volunteers with students, helping them prepare for the workforce and expand their horizons. Additionally, Sherry is a certified personal coach and fitness instructor with more than 25 years of experience in the health and wellness field. Her counseling practice emphasizes an integrated, holistic approach to mental health for individuals, couples, and families. She incorporates mindfulness, somatic release, emotional processing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Human Needs Theory to support clients in building resilience, finding healing, and fostering personal growth. A proud mother, Sherry finds balance and joy in the outdoors, often exploring nature with her dog.

Jenn Wilson is a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy Practicum/Intern student at Capella University. She brings over 30 years of experience from the corporate world in risk management, administration, and leadership. That background helps her to understand the complexity and real-world challenges people face every day in balancing it all. Jenn is married and has four children and understands the weight of juggling many of life’s priorities. Additionally, she volunteers and is on the board for a grief counseling support group that provides free grief support and services to the Carson Valley. Her goal is to help clients gain clarity and insight by offering a supportive, thoughtful space where they feel understood and empowered to move forward.

Lisa was born in Utah and raised in Wyoming. At the age of 21 she served a religious mission in New Mexico and Texas and enjoyed the privilege of serving Spanish speaking people and Indigenous people. Lisa completed a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Human Development at Utah State University. She worked as an Investigator in child support enforcement with the Utah Office of Recovery Services for four years. As a woman raised in a traditional religion, Lisa quit work to raise her children. She is now the parent of five adult children who were homeschooled. Three of her children live with medical and/or neurodivergent disabilities. As a Parent Advocate, Lisa has been awarded a certificate of completion of 325 hours of interdisciplinary training in serving children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities by the NvLend program with the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities at University of Nevada Reno. Lisa is a graduate student clinician fulfilling her practicum requirements to complete her degree in Counseling and Human Development through Walsh University. She is working towards licensure as a Nevada Clinical Professional Counselor. Lisa takes a multicultural approach to therapy, working to empower people who have experienced marginalization in a variety of situations. She is LGBTQIA affirming. Lisa is a family systems counselor and works with couples. She has a special interest in working with people experiencing faith crises, including mixed faith couples.

Jessyka Quisquino has 10 years of professional experience within the mental health field. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from the University of Hawaii – West Oahu, and it was also in Hawaii where she received a certification of completion as a Nurse’s Aide. Jessyka is now pursuing her Master’s Degree in clinical mental health counseling at Adams State University. Outside of work, she loves to work on cars, lounge with her two rescue pups, and travel.
